一．教学目标与要求
1. 能够听、说、读、写单词：pot, seed, soil, sprout, plant。
2. 能够运用句型 “First, we have the seed.”等简单描述植物种植与生长过程。
3. 培养孩子们热爱大自然的美好情感，增强环境保护意识。
4. 利用Phonics知识，尝试从音、义到形的单词教学。
二．教学重点、难点
1. 利用phonics知识，尝试从音、义到形的语音、单词教学。
2. 能够运用句型 “First, we have the seeds. Next,…Then, … And then, … Finally,…”等简单描述植物种植与生长过程。
三．教学过程
1. 热身。以谈论题目The Story of a Plant直接进入话题，询问学生从题目中能预知本节课的教学目标，并以图片直观理解plant的另一个意思：植物。观看一段植物发芽的录像，了解植物的生长过程。
设计意图：学生能从字面展开联想，激活有关plant的图式，激活学生对大自然的热爱之情。
2. 引入。By the way, if we plant a flower at home, What do we need?
幻灯片上出示几个选项，学生选择如果在家里种植的话，需要什么条件？
设计意图：以问题引入，从思考开始学习。
3. 回答问题what do we need to plant a flower？并根据学生的回答，一一学习新单词：pot, soil, seed, 还有sun, water，rain等
1）呈现单词的音义，以选择的方式呈现单词的形，学生根据读音选择。
2）在句子中操练单词的音形义
A. T: Well, we got some seeds, a pot, some soil, we are ready to plant a flower. How do we start?
注意提醒学生使用：First, … Next, … Then, … And then, … Finally,…等词
B. 学生在老师的引导下尝试说出怎样种花，幻灯片上出示一些关键词。
C．点出：The life cycle of the plant
设计意图：尝试从音、义到形的单词教学,学生运用Phoncis知识，学习单词，并能在句子中运用。
4. 单词的操练
1) 拼词练习
A.书空并说说The life cycle of a plant
B. 以Gogo对种花感兴趣，并想种为情景，开展活动。
a) 活动1：种花所需什么？缺了什么？
b) 活动2：老师给出关键词，学生叙述种花过程。
设计意图：利用Phonics知识操练新词，学生巩固其音义形。
5. 巩固练习
1）完成课本Number and say
2）完成活动手册P52，Listen and write.
设计意图：检查新词的听说读写。
6．Homework: 读课外阅读，用简单句子复述：The Life Cycle of the Plant，并写下来。
设计意图：检查新词的听说读写。

What is happening at each stage?
1. The seed has fallen from the tree and is covered by the soil
2. The seed comes into contact with water and this begins releasing food for the seed to grow
3. The seed’s stem is driven towards the sun
4. When the tree is mature it will flower, then the flowers will fall off and seed will produced
5. The seed will fall off the tree in fall
A new seed will find its way into the soil
